Scelentium Tortuosum (a.k.a. kanna) is a succulent from South Africa with a long history of use by indigenous peoples as an uplifting inebriant. While accounts vary widely (in part due to translation errors, confusion over similar species, and differing ontologies between native and European observers), this plant is mostly known in the Western world today as an anti-depressant.
These harvested-to-order cuttings are a minimum of 3cm long with at least 4 leaf pairs, and come pre-dipped in rooting hormone for ease of transplant.
To serve as a hub of conservation, education, and advocacy, making ethnomedicinal plants available to both hobbyist and serious growers across the country, while maintaining a dialogue that ensures these plants and more remain available to future generations.
